The prasad of the temple of Jagannath
One of the special features of the temple is its kitchen, Rosaighara, which is said to be the biggest kitchen in the world. Six hundred cooks prepare different dishes of rice, vegetables and sweets. There over 240 fireplaces and the fires are lit from the Homa a sacrificial fire. The food is cooked only in terracotta pots. 56 dishes (Chappan Bhog) are offered daily to Lord Jagannath.
